Abimbola Komolafe is an NFEC Certified Financial Education Instructor®, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). She is a finance professional with over 30 years of experience in various sectors which include banking, ‘Oil and Gas’ and consulting.

Her career started with the Nigerian-American Merchant Bank, one of the foremost reputable banks that introduced Merchant banking to Nigeria. She worked with the bank for 10 years where she rose to the position of the Head, Management Information Services. Thereafter she went to work with the foremost oil and gas company in Nigeria, (Shell Companies in Nigeria) for 20 years. While with Shell, she functioned at different times as the pioneer Project Accountant for the Bonga Development project, the flagship and first Deepwater project for the Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCO) and for Nigeria.

She was also the Regional planning coordinator for Shell Exploration and Production Africa between 2008 and 2012. Between 2012 and 2017, she assumed a new role as the Head of PSC Finance Liaison, SNEPCO (Shell Nigeria Exploration & Production Company Ltd) leading stakeholder engagement between SNEPCO, Government representatives and other partners in the Production Sharing Contract. In 2017, she quit paid employment and started her consulting outfit Threshold of Trust Nig Limited, where she offers financial and business advisory services, financial literacy & financial coaching services.

Bimbo Komolafe is also the Executive Director/ Co-Founder of Rehoboth Dream Solid Foundation (RDSF), a foundation that focuses on promoting sustainable education, mentoring and skills acquisition for the less privileged to give them a better footing towards economic empowerment.
