2022 FCBK Financial Literacy workshop for teenagers and young adults

I am delighted to inform you that registration is now open for the 2022 edition of the FCBK Financial Literacy workshop for teenagers and young adults. The program is FREE and will be delivered online via Zoom, but registration is mandatory.

This year’s program is loaded with a very rich curriculum that has five other speakers joining me to empower participants with the necessary skills to help them work towards Financial Freedom early in life. The program comes with a bonus as we will have special sessions on life skills like ‘self esteem and confidence building’, and ‘how to ace your examinations and achieve academic excellence’.

In addition to this, our special guest and one of our speakers will both share from their life stories to further help the attendees appreciate that the skills we will teach actually work when applied.

Meet our Special Guest Teju Babyface
Gbadewonuola Olateju Oyelakin known professionally as Teju Babyface Oyelakin, is the founder and lead mentor at the Mentorship Foundation Africa (a Mentorship Academy). He runs a company called Visus Projects and is a United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Ambassador for Nigeria. Teju Babyface also known by many in Nigeria as ‘The King of Talk’ is an Actor, standup comedian, talk show host, producer and writer. He is the author of the book ‘Secrets of the Streets: Twenty-Three Secrets for Making Money with Your Talent That You Will Never Learn in School’.
As our special guest in this year’s workshop, Teju Babyface will share his financial fitness story and how he walked into and maintains his financial freedom. He will share with participants how important mentoring is and steps to turn your talents and passion to wealth.

MEET OUR SPEAKERS

Dr Ukoha Kalu is a Medical Doctor based in the United Kingdom. He is in his mid-30s and made his first million as a secondary school student. He is an experienced investor with a diversified portfolio across different countries. Dr Kalu almost dropped out of school but is today highly invested and focused on maintaining his financial freedom.
He will share from his experience and share tips and secrets of getting wealthy and building passive income early with participants.

Dr. Charity Ezenwa – Onuaku is a highly skilled Financial Consultant, a professor, and a researcher based in America. She is a Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI) and a Social Entrepreneur pursuing poverty alleviation through financial education.
She founded WealthyGen, Inc. with the mission to empower women and youths through financial literacy education, tools, and programs to help them establish and grow sustainable livelihood activities. She has experience with teaching financial literacy to young people and delivers this through the Financial Empowerment for Young Adults (FEYA) program she developed.
She will be teaching participants the importance of savings and investments in wealth creation. She will also help them understand the place of credits and borrowing in financial freedom.

Mrs Ramat Ebella Ellis is a Banking executive based in Accra Ghana. She has years of experience ranging from Banking and Finance to Entrepreneurship. She has used her knowledge and wealth of experience to establish her personal brand as a business entrepreneurship and finance thought leader. Ramat is the founder of an NGO called ‘Girls with purpose Foundation’ which mentors and supports young girls to find purpose in life, stand out and succeed. She will help participants understand Business and Entrepreneurship for wealth creation.

Prof. Chinedu Mba is a professor and program coordinator at Algonquin College, Ottawa, Canada and is an experienced administrator in the higher education industry. She is also a student success specialist, an education consultant, and an academic life coach and tutor.
She will be teaching participants how to ace their examinations and be successful in school while explaining the place of academic success in achieving Financial Freedom.

Funmi Oni is a Certified Personal Performance Coach & Therapeutic Counsellor using the Carl Rogers Person-Centered Model and she practices in the United Kingdom. Funmi is passionate about empowering individuals to maximise their potential by giving them tools that will help them overcome limiting beliefs. Her aim as a counsellor is to empower people to be able to stand on their feet. She has been a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists since 2009, is an accredited Coach of Excellence and a member of the International Coaching Federation.
Funmi will be empowering the participants with skills to help boost their self esteem and confidence as they explore opportunities to grow their wealth and achieve financial freedom.

Bimbo Komolafe is a Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI) and the Founder of the ‘FinanceCoachBK’ Platform. She is a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Banker and a finance professional with over 30 years experience. She has a passion to help people achieve financial freedom and grow their wealth. This passion led her to create the ‘FinanceCoachBK’ platform which she uses to educate and offer financial literacy services to help individuals achieve financial fitness and financial freedom.
Bimbo will be helping participants understand Financial Freedom and the application of the E-S-I model (Earn more, Save Better and Invest well) for wealth creation.
